Did you consider the fact that YOU, as a NEW legislator, may as yet not have interiorized the constraints that make OLD legislators more interested in maintaining a pact with the Content Industries so as to use them and their "enforceable rights" as much as a Trojan Horse as they do with child pornography to justify eroding on civil liberties?

He who forfeits liberty in exchange for security will neither have the one or the other.

"Still, and this is what struck me, I don’t think you’ve ever considered where that value comes from. It comes from legislators. From people like me. The value you attach to copyright shows clearly that it has some form of value, and that value is created in an exchange."

I think it is overtly clear that too many governments are scheming against the liberties of their constituents, using every emotionally loaded hook possible to persuade their voters to vote the forfeiture of their rights if plain logic and ethic is not enough.

Maybe, just maybe, they even do it because FROM THEIR POINT OF VIEW and considering the global situation on a world scale... it is considered the best way possible to defend what they stand for in the benefit of their peoples to the fullest extent that can be achieved. Some machiavellian sort of: We might all end up being slaves of one another... but that is what is needed so we can survive where others will perish.

Those legislators and other elites have their gray mass very overloaded with long term survival scenarios where, very humanly, the grassroots people are cannon fodder and Matrix battery chargers... and they may survive as long as they stay useful. Of course, the elite is so needed it can not be doubted that no matter you look at the facts... they invariably need to survive all anyway for any strategy to be possible at all. I'm sure they could not accept any alternative that might require less than total survival for them, because that is what they are human for... to survive.

I hope that you realize that people are laughing at you, and that you actually are counterproductive because of these lies. Do you realize that you are somewhat of a "court jester"?

No, you never where a legislator. Sorry. And PP does not have two seats in EP. You will have - but you don't and you didn't. Sorry.

You still want people to take you seriously?

When this letter was written, I was leading a party with two seats in the European Parliament. That makes me a lawmaker at the time of writing from most people's definition. Now, I have different duties.

Underbart skrivet, aningen aggressivt kanske, men som jag förstår det så är det fortfarande inte hälften så aggressivt som de känslor du var utsatt för när du talade.

Det råkar inte finnas en video på talet att tillgå?
